Texas A&M University's M.S. or M.Ed. with a Special Education emphasis prepares educator practitioners to serve as skillful, ethical, and caring professionals. The program is a minimum of 42 hours. Graduate students will obtain knowledge and skills relevant to meeting the needs of those students classified as "at-risk" and "low-performing" as well as those identified as having disabilities. Students in the special education program will acquire an understanding of and a respect for the ethnic, cultural and diversity of the students, families, and communities in which they may work.
