Description: Fairfield is a really good hospital to work for.  All the employees here have been on board for several years. Dr. Hicks offers a 401K, he purchases scrubs once a year - 3 sets per employee, after a year he gives one week vacation (increases after 3 years) no sick days or health insurance. Our hours are 7am-6pm Monday thru Friday and for the summer we are open every other Saturday.  The new tech would rotate out with two other techs, so basically they would work 1 Saturday every ~6 weeks.  We might continue with the Saturdays, but at this point we are not sure.  We are closed the major holidays.

Higher education and/or LVT are preferred, but additional experience can substitute. Experience in an emergency clinic or fast paced, multiple doctor clinic is preferred. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and can work well both individually, and with a team. Applicant must be able to multitask and prioritize, as well as handle high stress situations. The minimal skills required for this position include: calculating drug dosages, administering medications (PO, SQ, IM, IV, etc.), placing peripheral catheters, intubating patients, and obtaining vitals such as temperature, heart rate, respiration rate, and blood pressure. It is preferred that the candidate also be familiar with common lab equipment, and able to perform basic lab tests such as fecal floats and directs, manual differentials, and platelet counts.
