Position: Director/Coordinator of Animal Care

Description: Nosara Animal Care (NAC) in Nosara, Costa Rica, is seeking a Director/Coordinator of Animal Care to manage the rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption of abandoned, abused, and neglected cats and dogs in the greater Nosara area. Additionally, the Director responds to animal care queries from the public; recruits and supervises foster homes, maintains appropriate records and documentation of animal care activities; purchases needed supplies/services for animal care; maintains the NAC facebook page; advertises spay/neuter clinics, supervises the recovery team at spay/neuter clinics, and ensures that all needed supplies are available; coordinates all volunteers for animal care. Nosara Animal Care is a registered non¬profit organization supported by public donations and small grants, and it is managed by a Board of Directors. The Animal Care Director reports to the President of NAC Board of Directors and works with the President and other Board members to advance NAC’s mission. The Animal Care Director is a 6-month, renewable position that includes a monthly stipend ($500) and board at the NAC House (all utilities & rent are paid by NAC). The Director must provide their own transportation. Preference will be given to applicants who speak some Spanish. Nosara is a rural, beach community in the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica.
