Life for our students

Classroom & Lab Experiences 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 or 3:30 p.m. lecture. Time is usually broken up between in-class lecture, varius fun activities, tours of related interest in Houston area, and hands on lab practice
Clinical Experiences 6:30a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Hours in the facility depends on the hospital/clinical schedule.
Level one students spend most of the time in the classroom/lab. There is a progression of health science courses, dosage calculations, basic patient care courses and nursing skilled lab experiences.  Level two has increasingly more clinical time with a focus on medical-surgical nursing, sterile skills, and giving medications to adults -- as well as a course in pediatric nursing. This level is fast paced and exciting.  Level three puts it all together with more independence for the SVN, management in the long term care facility and emergency nursing.
