Discovery College: LSC-Kingwood

Discovery College at LSC-Kingwood and LSC-Atascocita Center provides a safe and fun "college experience," giving students and their families a comfortable introduction to their local Lone Star College campus.

General Information

Discovery College 2013: June 10 - August 15.

• Courses are offered for 6-17 year olds.
• Courses start at $89.
• Discovery College programs are STEM-focused, meaning that they are specifically designed to engage your child in key areas like science, technology, engineering and math to promote a true learning experience. We also offer programs in performing arts, physical activity, and more.
  
• Lone Star College only hires the most qualified instructors for Discovery College, whether they are one of our incredibly talented college faculty members or one of our community's best K-12 educators.
  
• Student and parent evaluations are used for every Discovery College session to ensure that Lone Star College is offering the most relevant and exciting programs possible.
  
• Morning and afternoon sessions are available.
• Click here to get email notifications when sessions are announced.
• Supervised lunch is available for students registering for both morning and afternoon classes occurring in the same week. Students staying for lunch must bring a sack lunch each day.
• All Discovery College participants will receive one (1) camp t-shirt. Additional t-shirts can be purchased from the Continuing Education Office in Classroom Building A, Room 107.

Registration

Discovery College Registration:

• In person: Register at the Continuing Education Office, Classroom Building A, Room 107
• Mail: Payment is due at the time of registration and must accompany registration and permission forms

You can register up to the day of the first class (if the session is not full). However, waiting may cause the class to be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment. Payment and permission forms are due at the time of registration.
