Discovery College 2009
Where Kids Rule! Are you looking for something fun for your child to do this summer? Enroll your child in Lone Star College-Kingwood's Discovery College. We provide programs that are fun and educational, offering children a chance to develop skills and learn new ones in a warm, friendly environment. Knowledgeable instructors - usually certified teachers will lead classes in a variety of subject areas with curriculum developed to encourage learning in a relaxed and creative atmosphere.

KidCare
The KidCare program provides supervision for children, ages 4-12, while a parent attends evening classes at Lone Star College-Kingwood. Parents must provide a copy of their course enrollment form, a birth certificate for the child, a registration form and a completed enrollment form when registering the child into the KidCare program. Space is limited and enrollments will be taken on a first come basis. If a child is absent for 30 days, the child will be removed from KidCare, unless prior notice is given. KidCare is located in CLA 115.

El programa de KidCare supervisa a los niños, entre los 4 y 12 años de edad, mientras los papas atienden a clases en Lone Star College-Kingwood. El padre debe traer su matricula al Colegio de Kingwood cada semestre para poder registrar a su hijo/a. Ademas, debe traer una copia del certificado de nacimiento del niño, la forma de matricula completa del niño para asistir a KidCare, la forma completa de adminiciones y forma de matricula del niño. KidCare esta localizado en CLA 115.

SAT Prep Class
This course prepares high school students to take the SAT Test. Students will learn critical thinking and test strategies for both the verbal and math portions of the SAT test.

Test Prep
Prepare for the SAT, THEA, GED and Microsoft Office Specialist exams.

Teen Driver's Ed
Teens!!! Get independent and start driving!

This is 32 hours of in classroom instruction designed for students who wish to get a Texas driver's permit. This course will prepare students to sit for the state driver permit examination administered through the Department of Public Safety. This course satisfies the 32 hour in-class instruction requirement by the Texas Education Agency and DPS.
