There are a number of different ways in which students, faculty, and staff, can collaborate no matter if they are on or off campus, or simply on-the-go. Here are links to information and helpful "How-To" information and tutorials to help you get started.

All LSC accounts are password-protected. Use a unique password, preferably a sentence, and do not share it with anyone or enter it into a website without being sure it is associated with Lone Star College. When in doubt, contact the OTS Service Desk for verification.
Remember: All official communication from Lone Star College is sent through email including emergency information, school closure information and notifications.
Students should access their email by logginginto myLoneStar. Log into myLoneStar (my.lonestar.edu), select the Student Email tile, and log in when prompted. NOTE: Students can also access their email through Microsoft 365.
Students who meet the minimum number of enrolled credit hours (a minimum of 6 credit hours during a fall or spring semester; 3 credit hours over the summer) may request the use of an HP Windows Laptop bundle (currently available) or an Apple iPad bundle (estimated to arrive August 30th) in order to complete their courses remotely. Upon approval, students will receive a device and accessories, along with instructions on how to download LSC software for student use.
Once you qualify for the program and pick up your equipment, go to LoneStar.edu/OTS-StudentDevice for pick-up location maps, setup instructions, and helpful resources; as well as for information regarding our Virtual Student Technology Bootcamp (available at no additional cost) where you will learn about the technology you will frequently utilize during your time at LSC.
Microsoft 365 and OneDrive
In order to help our students be successful, Lone Star College provides Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) and 1 TB of OneDrive storage to every enrolled student. With Microsoft 365 on your personal device(s), you will have access to the latest version of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and more!
Share and co-edit your schoolwork using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote in real time—anywhere, any time, on any device. Log into myLoneStar and select the Student Email tile to get started, or go to https://portal.office.com and log in with your LSC email address and password.
There is a variety of software available that can be used at home. Go to Software Available for Students where you will need to complete a quick assessment survey before you can access the list of available software titles and download links.
Upload documents to work on from home, share with others, work on simultaneously with others with Microsoft OneDrive. Log into your Microsoft Office 365 account, or use the "Go to My Storage (OneDrive) quicklink in myLoneStar, to get started.
LSC Faculty & Staff, is your email account scheduled to be migrated or has it recently been migrated to the Microsoft 365 cloud?
Remember, you will always be able to access your email online using myLoneStar* or Employee Webmail before or during the migration. However, Employee Webmail will no longer be available once your mailbox has been moved. Use the information below to acess your email after your account has been moved.
*Since retirees do not have access to myLoneStar, retiree email will continue to be available via Employee Webmail until the move. Once retiree email accounts are moved, retiree email will be available through Microsoft 365 or Outlook.com.
After Your Account Has Been Migrated
Access your email online using myLoneStar or your LSC Microsoft 365 account
myLoneStar - Log into myLoneStar and select the Employee Email tile. This will re-direct to your LSC Microsoft 365 account. Sign in using your LSC password.
NOTE: Since retirees do not have access to myLoneStar, retiree email will be available through Microsoft 365 or Outlook.com.
Microsoft 365 - Employee Webmail is no longer available once your account has been migrated, use Microsoft 365 instead. Sign in using your LSC email address and password.
NOTE: Email is also accessible through Outlook.com. Sign in using your LSC email address and password.
If you use the Outlook desktop application installed on your computer, or access your email on a mobile device, links to instructions to re-setup your Outlook profile or re-add your email to you rmobile device are available. You will need to re-setup your profile and re-add your signature, favorites, and any shared calendars.
Remember, the OTS Service Desk is always available to assist you. If you run into issues with Outlook after your account has been moved or would like us to walk you through the profile re-setup procedures, please contact us at 832.813.6600 so we can assist you.
Microsoft 365 and OneDrive

- For meetings of fewer than 20 participants, use your Webex Meetings Personal Room.
- For meetings of up to 1,000 participants, use Webex Meetings.
Schedule a Webex Event at lonestar.webex.com to meet online (50 or more people) with colleagues and students, share presentations, and hold video conferences. Follow the links below for information to help get started:

Watch out for phishing scam emails. Even if an email looks like it may be from a co-worker, supervisor, student, or even the OTS Service Desk.
Received a suspicious email? Don’t click anything or reply. Report it!
Click the "Report Phishing" button in Outlook or Webmail, complete the "Report a Phishing/Scam/Spam Email" form in LSC Service Center, or call the OTS Service Desk at 832.813.6600.
