Lone Star College was awarded two grants to support workforce training at Lone Star College The first grant awarded $750,000 and the second at $200,000. These funds are to assist students who stopped attending classes at Lone Star College or Texas Community College due to COVID19 related issues and who would like to return and finish a workforce certificate or Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree.

Students who qualify may receive $500-$2,500 per semester per participant to cover some tuition and cost of attendance. (View the eligibility requirements below)

Eligibility requirements

1. Full-time or part-time students.
2. Must be a resident of Texas and eligible for in-state tuition as determined by the institution
3. Must enroll in a Lone Star College credentialed program/degree/certificate at Lone Star College.

• File a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at LoneStar.edu/Financial-Aid
• Identify how you were affected by COVID-19 completing the REQUIRED survey to meet eligibility requirements to be considered for COVID related financial assistance.
