Accreditations

Institutional Accreditation

Lone Star College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate and baccalaureate degrees. Program Specific Accreditations

In addition to LSC’s accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to offer associate and bachelor’s degrees, the college offers many programs that have specialized accreditations from state, regional and/or national professional associations and boards.

Automotive Technology

The Automotive Technology Program at LSC-North Harris is accredited by the National Automotive Technician Education Foundation and has full Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification.

Construction

Construction programs at LSC-North Harris are accredited by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER).

Dental Hygiene

The Dental Hygiene Program at LSC-Kingwood is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).

Respiratory Care

CoARC accredits respiratory therapy education programs in the United States. To achieve this end, it utilizes an ‘outcomes based’ process. Programmatic outcomes are performance indicators that reflect the extent to which the educational goals of the program are achieved and by which program effectiveness is documented.

The Veterinary Technology program at LSC-Tomball is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association and students are eligible to take all State and National Board examinations to become licensed veterinary technician (LVT) in Texas to work in all areas of animal health care.
