The Office of Diversity Initiatives (ODI) encourages, promotes, and partners with students to advance diversity education programs and activities to build an inclusive and welcoming environment within the college community and the greater Houston area.

Cultural Celebrations

We support and celebrate underrepresented cultures and events to enhance college life on campus through educational and social experiences such as, Black History Month, WomenDiversity Programming- We encourage participation in programs to raise awareness and build a community of respect as it pertains to diversity, such as the Interracial Dialogue Series and cultural trips.

Diversity Workshops/Presentations

We offer classroom presentations on diversity topics.

Leadership Development

We present on-campus workshops and presentations and provide opportunities for students to attend leadership conferences.

Peer Mentorship Programs

We encourage women students who are interested to join, Women in Network for Growth and Support ( W.I.N.G.S). They must apply and be interviewed, but members have the opportunity to have on-campus and off campus resources and make new friends. 

Community Involvement

We promote the importance in making community connections for students to become active citizens.
