LSC and Harris County Back To Work

Mosaic of Diverse Students

Free training for in demand careers. Harris County residents can enroll in free training for an in-demand career as part of a program announced by Lone Star College and Harris County.

Funding for the program is available and participants must be residents of Harris County recently impacted by COVID 19 through furloughs, being unemployed or under employed.

Eligible residents will be able to get trained at no cost and reskill in just a few short weeks or months. Participants will be able to attend classes tuition-free and the program also provides funding for books and other costs that starting in a skilled job may require such as work boots, scrubs, or licensing fees.

Time is limited! Interested residents should contact a Lone Star College advisor as soon as possible as the training must be completed by Dec. 3

Callers will answer a short questionnaire to determine eligibility, and a basic information sheet to complete enrollment if eligible. Applications typically take 5-15 minutes to complete.
