Lone Star College-Kingwood Hosts National Recycle Day

WHO:   LSC-Kingwood's Environmental Conscious Organization Club and students will participate in recycling games.
WHAT:   Lone Star College-Kingwood's third annual National Recycle Day 2012.
WHEN:   Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
WHERE:   LSC-Kingwood's Performing Arts Center patio. The campus is located at 20000 Kingwood Drive Kingwood, 77339.
WHY:  

Recycling is something upon which all can agree. Helping to advance the clean energy economy, recycling is a multi-billion dollar industry that employs millions of Americans.

  • Nonprofit organization As You Sow estimates that the value of discarded packaging in the U.S. is worth 11.4 billion dollars.1
  • Recycling 75 percent of the nation's waste will create nearly 1.5 million jobs by 2030, according to the Tellus Institute.2
