LSC has purchased laptop computers to assist students taking classes this fall. LSC students will be able to check out the computers, much like a library book. Applications for computers are underway .
Start by submitting the online application through ApplyTexas. Interested in a bachelor’s degree program at LSC? Select the button to “create a new 2 year college admissions application” and then “Lone Star College System” when prompted. The first option when you select “School/Program” is “Bachelor Degrees at LSC” which will then display the bachelor’s degrees.
New Student Orientation (NSO)
All students required to complete NSO can access the online orientation from the applicant tile in the my.LoneStar.edu student portal. If assistance is needed, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Only transcripts requests sent electronically from high schools or colleges will be processed while the facilities are closed due to COVID-19. No LSC transcript requests for mail or pick-up delivery will be processed during this time either. COVID-19 UPDATE: Students are encouraged to pay online prior to the term due date to prevent their courses from being dropped. If you are unable to pay online, you may mail a money order to your campus Business Office (mailing addresses are provided in chart below). To ensure you are not dropped while your payment is in route, you can scan and email a copy of your money order to your campus Business Office. Be sure to include your name, student ID and contact information. Business Office email addresses can be found here.
Select your registered campus and enter your course information. Please select home ship at this time (NO in-store pickup available). Free shipping applies to all orders during the campuses closure. The bookstores are shipping orders through UPS. Learn more at LoneStar.bncollege.com.
Check-in Rental Book(s): Go to Rental FAQ link (bottom left) on LoneStar.bncollege.com to learn how you can ship in your rental book(s) with a prepaid UPS return label.
Selling Back Textbooks: Once bookstores reopen, contact or visit the bookstores for instructions. Forms of payment will be refunded in the same form. Students who paid with Financial Aid will need to visit the store in and will be paid in cash. Get contact information and addresses for all LSC Bookstores at LoneStar.edu/Bookstore.
Need Course Materials or LSC Apparel & Gifts: Submit your online order through our website, LoneStar.bncollege.com.
Mail-in refunds: will occur the day your textbook is received back into the bookstore. Please email the bookstore for confirmation of your shipment.

CARE for Completion
Lone Star College wants you to stay on course with achieving your educational goals. If you have concerns about meeting some of life's basic needs, you can be distracted from your path to success.
Many Lone Star College academic support resources are transitioning to online; however, during campus closures due to COVID-19, on campus CARE resources will not be available. There are still many off campus resources available!
All students enrolled in courses with LSC can use the tutoring center that works best for them, regardless of location including students enrolled in online courses. Tutoring is covered for all students through the enrollment fee so no payment is required to use these services. Visit LoneStar.edu/Tutoring to learn more.

Communities In Schools of Houston (CIS) is dedicated to supporting students. While CIS adheres to current Center For Disease Control guidelines CIS remains available to provide students with supportive guidance and to address basic and/or emergency needs through health and human services referrals. Lone Star College Counseling Services
Lone Star College counselors are master’s level professionals ready to assist students in meeting academic, career and personal goals. LSC counselors also assist students facing academic difficulty (e.g., academic warning, probation, and suspension) - helping students to develop new strategies to achieve academic goals. LSC Counselors are working remotely during the COVID-19 campus closure and are committed to responding to e-mails and phone calls in a timely manner. Moving from an in-person class to an online class is a good time for each student to reconnect with their Disability Service Provider who has been coordinating accommodations to determine what changes (if any) will be needed.
