Fiscal year to close with record fundraising levels!

LSC Foundation is set to close the 2020-2021 fiscal year with the highest net assets in the Foundation's history with a record-setting $39 million! This past academic year, the Foundation awarded nearly $1.6 million in scholarships to over 1,700 students.

The Foundation also successfully raised $184,000 during this past Spring's StarGala online auction. The 27th annual Drive for Scholarships golf tournament raised nearly $140,000! Proceeds benefit scholarships and programs at Lone Star College. The annual employee giving campaign is also projected to raise $215,000 by the end of the fiscal year. More than two dozen newly planned endowments were also started.

"There will always be a challenge that our world faces. Yet, the commitment to support students toward an education never stops, and we are so grateful to all the donors whose commitment to Lone Star College and our mission to change lives continues on. Thank you - your impact is immeasurable," said Laura Brown, Director of Special Events.

LSC Foundation also received several grants this year including $100,000 from Johnson Controls Inc. to support HVAC/R and Electrical Technology students at LSC-North Harris and more than $150,000 from Tomball Regional Health Foundation to LSC-Tomball to support the LifePath program and Health Occupation students. The foundation has certainly grown exponentially since its first investment of $20,000 in 1991.
