You will no longer have access to your LSC employee email account following retirement. Your employee email account will be disabled when you leave Lone Star College. Instead, an LSC Retiree email account will be set up for you.

Your new account will be accessible on your effective retirement date. 

Your new email address will be: [populated automatically]@retiree.lonestar.edu

One (1) year. If you need to continue using your LSC Retiree email account after one year following your effective retirement date, you will need to request to extend access. Automatic reminders will start being sent 30 days prior to your account expiring.

REMEMBER YOUR CURRENT PASSWORD!

After your effective retirement date, your new email can be accessed by claiming the account and setting up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) at LoneStar.edu/MFASetup-Retirees.

Your login will be provided through an automatic notification to your LSC employee email before you retire, and the password will be the same password you last used with your employee account. First, you will be prompted to set up two methods of authentication and then you should reset your password to a new one.

No. Retirees will only have access to email for one (1) year.

Retirees do not use the same password reset tool that active employees use, so please DO NOT use the Reset Password link on the myLoneStar login page. Instead, follow these steps:

1. Go to https://portal.office.com and click the Can't access your account? link.
2. Select Work or school account.
3. Type your retiree email address and the code displayed.
4. Select your first contact method desired (receive a text, phone call, or use an authenticator app).
5. Complete the identity verification.
6. Enter your new password and again to confirm.
7. Once the new password has been set, a message will appear showing that the your password has been successfully reset.
