What is Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion?
Equity, diversity, and inclusion are buzz words we often hear in the world of higher education, but what do they really mean? What do they look like in action? How does each member of the LSC community contribute to equity, diversity, and inclusion?
The department of Governance, Equity, and Records (GER), in conjunction with the LSC Diversity Action Committee (DAC), engaged in an extensive inquiry and feedback process to establish operational definitions for equity, diversity, and inclusion to be used college-wide. Creating a common language is a foundational requirement to measure the performance and effectiveness of the College's strategies and initiatives. As we collectively strive to advance LSC's strategic goals, GER looks forward to continued opportunities to support you in your efforts.
