:: AA, AS, AND AAS REQUIREMENTS

ANTH 2351 Cultural Anthropology has been added to the Core Curriculum as part of the Social/Behavioral Sciences listing effective Spring 2005. This course also fulfills multicultural requirements.

DRAM 2121, 2331, 2336 and 2351 are not part of the core requirements and should not be listed (pp. 65, 66, 67, and 77).

PHIL 2316 and PHIL 2317 are not part of the core requirements and should not be listed (pp. 65, 66, 67, and 77).

:: ASSOCIATE OF APPLIED SCIENCE REQUIREMENTS (AAS)

HIST 1301, 1302, and 2301 should not be listed as courses under Humanities/Fine Arts. They should be listed under Social/Behavioral Sciences (p. 77).

:: ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE REQUIREMENTS (AS)

The Mathematics requirement for the AS degree should be 6 hours (p. 67).

The course number "1307" was listed in error after ANTH 2346 under Social/Behavioral Sciences. The line should read: "ANTH 2346; ECON 2301, 2302; GEOG 1300, 1303,..." (p. 67).

Lone Star College–Tomball was listed in error as offering the E-Business Web Developer Certificate. Lone Star College–Tomball will not offer this certificate for the 04-05 Academic Year (p. 101).

Course POFT 1301 - Business English should replace POFT 1302 - Business Communications I in the Second Semester of the Database Administration, AAS (p. 102).

The course title for ITCC 1406 is listed incorrectly in the catalog and should be ITCC 1406 - CCNA 2: Router and Routing Basics (p. 221).

The lab and lecture hours for ITSY 2400, 2401 and 2442 should be 3 hrs. lec, 2 hrs. lab. Also, the prequisites for ITSY 2400 and 2401 should read: "ITSC 1407; ITSC 2437; ENGL 0305 or ENGL 0316 AND ENGL 0307 or 0326, OR higher level course (ENGL 1301), OR placement by testing" (p. 230).

Course ITSW 1301 Introduction to Word Processing was omitted from a list of courses that can be completed by taking an internal challenge exam. Credit for course ITSW 1301 can be obtained with a passing test score on the internal challenge exam for this course (p. 47).

:: COSMETOLOGY

Beginning Fall '04, course CSME 1254 Artistry of Hair Design I will replace course CSME 1250 Artistry of Hair, Theory and Practice (pp. 105 and 183).

:: DIAGNOSTIC MEDICAL SONOGRAPHY

The corequisites listed in the catalog for both DMSO 2245 and DMSO 2366 should read: DMSO 2366, 2171 and DSVT 2200 (pp. 193-194).

:: EDUCATION

The course description listed in the catalog for EDUC 1300 is incorrect and should be: "A study of the 1) research and theory in the psychology of learning, cognition, and motivation, 2) factors that influence learning, and 3) application of learning strategies. Theoretical models of strategic learning, cognition, and motivation serve as the conceptual basis for teaching and learning strategies used in the classroom. Students are ultimately expected to integrate and apply these theories and learning skills discussed" (p. 196).

:: ENGINEERING DESIGN GRAPHICS TECHNOLOGY

The Computer-Aided Operator/Drafting Certificate is listed in error in the printed catalog as being offered by Montgomery College. The certificate is not being offered by Lone Star College–Montgomery (p. 111).

:: ELECTRONICS TECHNOLOGY

Course CETT 1457 - Linear Integrated Circuits was listed in error within the Computer Engineering Technology AAS (Second Year, Second Semester). The Semester Total Credit Hours should now be 11-12 and the TOTAL Credit Hours should be 65-66 (p. 114).

The Basic Telecommunications Certificate is no longer being offered and is listed in error in the printed catalog on the AAS Degrees and Certificates chart (p. 80).

:: HEALTH INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

The Program Code for the HIT Coding Certificate is C2.COD2, not C1.COD1.

:: INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNOLOGY

New AAS in Industrial Maintenance and new Certificate in Industrial Maintenance will be offered at Lone Star College–CyFair starting in Spring 2005

:: MEDICAL RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY

The course title for RADR 2305 under Medical Radiologic Technology in the Degrees and Certificates section of the catalog is incorrect. It should be Principles of Radiographic Imaging II (not Principles of Radiographic Imaging) (p. 133).

:: MODERN LANGUAGES

The minimum CLEP score for GERMAN is listed incorrectly as 4. It should be 54 (p. 48).

:: NURSING

The degree code for the Vocational Nursing Certificate is C2. PRN2 (not C1. PRN2) (p. 82).

RNSG 1417 - Concepts of Nursing Practice I for Articulating Students is 4 credit hours, 4 lecture hours (p. 267).
:: OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT

The program is listed in the catalog in error as Tech Prep. The Occupational Therapy Assistant AAS is not part of the Tech Prep program (p. 141).

:: PROFESSIONAL OFFICE TECHNOLOGY

Under the Legal Administrative Assistant Certificate (Second Year, First Semester), course POFL 2381 should be POFT 2381 (p. 149).

Course ITSW 1301 Introduction to Word Processing was omitted from a list of courses that can be completed by taking an internal challenge exam. Credit for course ITSW 1301 can be obtained with a passing test score on the internal challenge exam for this course (p. 47).

:: RESIDENTIAL/COMMERCIAL ELECTRICIAN

New certificate in Residential/Commercial Electrician (Apprentice) will be offered at Lone Star College–Tomball starting in Spring 2005

:: VISUAL COMMUNICATION

Lone Star College-Kingwood will offer a new Gaming Development and Design Certificate in Spring 2005 ( Lone Star College–Tomball will offer starting in Fall 2005)
