Do you need to brush up on your digital skills in this increasingly technology-driven world?

In January, Lone Star College-Kingwood will offer free workshops to help people learn essential digital skills.

The workshops are being provided thanks to a partnership with a national non-profit, Connected Nation, an organization that provides innovative solutions to expand access to high-speed internet and related technologies.

“We are excited to provide a wide range of classes thanks to this partnership with Connected Nation,” said Pat Chandler, LSC-Kingwood Continuing Education Director. "Not only are we focusing on how to navigate the internet while protecting a person’s privacy, but we’re also providing courses for people who want to learn the basics about using a computer, a mobile device, or the internet. In addition, we’re introducing participants to other technology options that they might not have used yet such as video conferencing, which can help with everything from remote learning to telehealth.”
