HOUSTON (July 23, 2026) – Having the proper skills makes all the difference when looking for a new career, but some students can face obstacles in getting started. Lone Star College-Montgomery is ready to help you take that Next Step forward with special virtual advising sessions designed to help you get started.
“We understand that unanswered questions or small barriers can sometimes delay a student’s decision to enroll or complete registration,” said Dr. Juan Lebron, LSC-Montgomery vice president of student success. “The good news is that students do not have to navigate the next step alone. Our team is ready to answer questions, address concerns, and connect students with the appropriate campus resources to help them move forward.”
LSC-Montgomery is the smart choice for today’s students, offering class options designed to meet their needs both in the classroom and online. Students can also take advantage of financial assistance plans and receive the personal attention to support their success.
“If there’s one thing I’ve learned in life, it’s that success doesn’t start when life gets easier,” said Sanchez-Viera, an LSC-Montgomery student who has earned an Associate of Arts degree. “It starts the moment you decide that quitting is no longer an option, even when it’s hard, even when it’s uncomfortable, even when you’re not sure how it’s all going to work out.” Sanchez-Viera plans to transfer to a four-year university and pursue a career in advocacy, with the long- term goal of attending law school.
