The 7:30 p.m. free concert will be held in the Main Stage Theatre, located in the Center for the Arts building on the Barker Cypress campus at 9191 Barker Cypress.

Then bring the family to the “World Music Festival” March 26 for a unique cultural display of song, dance and art.

This Lone Star College-CyFair choral spring event celebrates and highlights cultural diversity in the Cy-Fair community with an entertaining evening of costumed musicians, dancers and artists.

“This special evening will feature pieces by Chopin, one of the greatest piano virtuosos in the romantic era,” said Alex Qian, choral director. “Along with traditional favorites, you will also hear a selection of beautiful folk music by other famous composers.”

This performance will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 26 in the Main Stage Theatre in the Center for the Arts building at 9191 Barker Cypress. A reception will follow. A sneak preview will also be held 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 24 in the Recital Hall, ART 102.

Sponsoring this music festival is the Windows On the World program in which events are designed to support teaching, cultural diversity and lifelong learning to enrich LSC-CyFair as well as the surrounding community.
