YMCA at LCS-North Harris offers child care options to students and the community

Finding quality, convenient, and affordable child care is not always easy. Fortunately, the YMCA at LSC-North Harris offers child care to LSC-North Harris students, as well as area residents. The center is currently accepting applications for fall 2010.

LSC-North Harris students are eligible to use the Child Watch drop-in care program for children ages 18 months to five years of age. It is specifically designed for those students who may need child care during the times they attend classes or when a student's regular day care falls through. Financial Aid is available for those who qualify. Students interested in the Child Watch program should call 281.765.7878.

Childcare services for the community are also available through the YMCA at LSC-North Harris. The recently expanded program includes an all-day pre-school care for children ages 18 to 35 months and a separate all-day pre-school for ages three to four years. Both run from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. A new partial-week alternative for preschool aged children 18 months to five years of age is also available. Cost is very affordable, but varies. For more information about enrolling call 281.765.7730.
