LSCS announces early registration for Discovery College summer camps

(March 30, 2011) – Lone Star College System’s popular Discovery College summer camp is right around the corner with early-bird registration beginning on April 16.

The camps will be held this summer at LSC-CyFair, LSC- Kingwood, LSC-Montgomery and LSC-Tomball from Monday, June 6 through Thursday, August 4.

Early-bird registration is from 8 a.m. to noon at LSC-CyFair on April 16, and from 9 a.m. to noon on the same day at  LSC-Kingwood, LSC-Montgomery and LSC-Tomball.

Participating in Discovery College summer camps provides a unique opportunity for children to develop new skills and learn new ones in a warm, friendly environment led by knowledgeable instructors. Courses are offered for children ages 6 – 18 and vary by campus. Tuition is $89 per week and up.

“What differentiates Discovery College from other camps is that we strive to promote academic, social and emotional learning in all of our sessions, said Robin Garrett, executive director of continuing education for LSCS.  “This holistic approach is what makes learning fun and get students excited about what Lone Star College and a college education can offer them in the future.”
