LSC-Tomball to Dedicate New Health Science Building

Lone Star College-Tomball will proudly dedicate its highly-anticipated LSC-Tomball Health Science Building on Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 3 p.m.

The facility, located near the Tomball Regional Medical Center, is a three-story complex with 60,000 square feet. It will house the Surgical Technology, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Nursing and Pharmacy Technology programs. The edifice will contain numerous classrooms, a medical library, simulation labs, an operating room, a clean room, a sterile room and additional educational resources.

The Performing Arts Center, located on the east side of the LSC-Tomball campus, and Veterinary Technology Building, located on the north side, were dedicated on Sept. 8.

The Performing Arts Center is a two-level building designed for high-quality music and theater productions. The 30,000-square-foot facility will house a 425-seat theater with a main lobby, a formal box office, an orchestra pit, theatrical sound and lighting equipment, a green room and other professional accommodations.

The Veterinary Technology Building is a 20,000-square-foot addition to the existing Large Animal Facility. The two-story structure will hold: a 124-seat lecture hall; reptile, avian and small mammal rooms; 12 canine runs; prep, surgery and recovery rooms; a computer room; and other instructional amenities.

The Lone Star College-Tomball Health Science Building is located at 700 Graham Dr., about a half-mile east of the Graham Drive and Business State Highway 249 intersection.
