Lone Star Corporate College to present project management certification seminar

 

HOUSTON (May 29, 2012) – Lone Star Corporate College will present a weeklong project management certification seminar from Monday, June 4 to Friday, June 8 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Lone Star College-University Park, 20515 State Highway 249 in Houston.

The certification seminar is offered in partnership with the University of Houston and is based on the Project Management Professional® certification credential created by the internationally- recognized Project Management Institute.

This seminar is designed for project managers and team leaders; product development managers; engineers; marketing professionals; operations professionals; R&D and construction managers; functional and line managers who deal with project managers; and team members who manage tasks and sub-tasks on projects.

The two-part program includes Fundamentals of Project Management Part 1: Tools and Techniques, and Fundamentals of Project Management Part 2: The People Side.

Throughout the seminar, attendees will learn to effectively define, plan, execute, control, and close projects; organize and structure projects; use leadership skills and techniques; motivate and empower team members, and develop a personal leadership style.
