Learn Something New in L.I.F.E. this September

L.I.F.E. WorkshopsLearn about the fastest-growing social media, the legend of Pocahontas, how to unlock your imagination and the beauty of Costa Rica at the upcoming September workshops.

Lone Star College-CyFair’s Learning, Inspiration, Fellowship, and Enrichment (L.I.F.E.) programs are free and held Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the library (Room 131 unless otherwise noted) at 9191 Barker Cypress.

  • September 5 — “Pin It” with Pinterest
    Organize and share your interest on Pinterest, the fastest growing social media website in internet history. Save your favorite recipes, craft ideas, travel destinations and more online, and share them with your friends, family, and the rest of the Pinterest community.

  • September 12 — Pocahontas and John Smith
    Professor Tom Kelly uncovers the history and the legend surrounding the beautiful Indian princess and the likeable captain.

  • September 19 — Creativity Unleashed
    Think you’re not creative? Professor Sharon Bippus will prove you wrong by using fun activities geared to unlock your imagination.

  • September 26 — Imagine Costa Rica
    Learn about this beautiful country when Professor Ronnie Nespeca recounts his May semester kinesiology class abroad paired with Professor Clay White’s biology class. You will fall in love with Costa Rica just as all the students did. Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
