LSCS spring job fair to connect job seekers with employers

HOUSTON (April 4, 2013) –Lone Star College System will be hosting a series of free  Community and Careers Job Fairs in April.

On Tues. April 16 from 3-7 p.m. Lone Star College-Cy-Fair will host a Technical Careers and Skilled Trades Career Fair.   On Wed. April 24 from 3-7 p.m. Lone Star College-University Park will host an Administrative Services and Computer Technology Career Fair.

These events will provide an opportunity for students and community job seekers to connect with potential employers. Each career fair will have more than 35 employers on hand to discuss employment opportunities within their organizations, benefits, job requirements, skills being sought, prerequisites and more. These employers will be in one convenient location.

“Lone Star College opens doors to a better community,” said Brian Dooley, senior program manager of workforce development and job placement. “Hosting Career Fairs assists in the overall mission of improving the quality of life for all community members.”

Job seekers are advised to bring several copies of their resumes which can be left with the employers. They are also encouraged to dress professionally as on-site interviews may take place.
