Lone Star College-Tomball seminar helps job-seekers improve interview skills

Lone Star College-Tomball Community Library will be hosting Workforce Solutions’ free seminar designed to help job-seekers make the best possible first impression in today’s competitive job market on December 11, 1:00-3:00 p.m.

“Interviewing” is a two-hour seminar on how to best present oneself to potential employers. Dressing for success, gathering background information on an employer, and preparing for commonly asked questions are just some of the topics to be discussed. The seminar will be followed by a one-hour resume lab (3:00-4:00 p.m.).

Participants will need their library cards to log in to the computers (for those without a card, a temporary login can be issued) and a jump/flash drive to save their resumes (the resumes can also be sent to a personal e-mail account if a jump drive is not available). Both the seminar and resume lab will be held in the Lone Star College-Tomball Community Library, Room L-207.

For more information or to register for the seminar, call the Lone Star College-Tomball Community Library Reference Desk at 832.559.4211.

LSC-Tomball is located at 30555 Tomball Parkway (near the intersection of Zion Road and SH 249).
