Lone Star College System expands continuing education learning opportunities

The Lone Star College Office of Continuing Education has partnered with ed2go, an online instructional provider that offers students highly interactive online courses.

These career training and professional development programs are in addition to existing continuing education courses currently available through LSC-Online and Champions School of Real Estate.

ed2go courses are led by expert instructors and provide interested students with an affordable option to expand their job skills. Fields of study include Business and Professional, Healthcare and Fitness, Hospitality and Service Industry, and IT and Software Development.  Online learners can take course offerings like project management, search engine marketing, medical coding, event management and design and iphone/ipad application development. 

“Lone Star College continues to explore new opportunities for people interested in updating their abilities or looking to choose a new career path”, said Linda Head, associate vice chancellor for workforce education and corporate partnerships. “ed2go meets the needs of busy adults who want to further their education.”

Students can take ed2go classes from home, the office or wherever they have online access at times that are geared to fit the most busiest schedule. A new section of each course starts monthly. All courses run for six weeks and are composed of 12 lessons, representing 24 hours of instruction.

Lone Star College also offers an array of online classes in the real estate industry through its partnership with Champions School of Real Estate.  These online courses are focused on licensing programs and exam prep for real estate sales agents, brokers, home inspection, home appraisal and loan origination.  Additional designation programs include Certified Home Marketing Specialist (CHMS), Certified Negotiation Specialist (CNE), Short Sales and Foreclosures (SFR), and more.
