Lone Star College-North Harris gives away free tuition for a semester to three lucky students

Many classes at LSC-North Harris are in high-demand and fill quickly, so the college and its satellite centers are hosting a series of advising and registration events on-campus in April to encourage students to register early. Future students are also encouraged to apply for admissions either online or in-person as soon as possible to begin the enrollment process for the upcoming semester.

Beginning Monday, April 4, advisors and counselors will be available in the LSC-North Harris Student Services Building, 2700 W.W. Thorne Drive; LSC-Greenspoint Center, 250 N. Sam Houston Parkway East; and LSC-Victory Center, 4141 Victory Drive, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday for Advising Week to assist students in course selection and scheduling before fall registration officially opens on Wednesday, April 13.

From April 18 to April 22, the college will host VIP Advising and Registration Week. During this time, students can take advantage of shorter wait times, personal service and the opportunity to meet one-on-one with advisors to review their degree plans and register for fall. The event will also feature food and giveaways on a first-come, first-served basis. Current and prospective students who register and pay during this time will receive food, will be entered to win free tuition.

Free Tuition Drawing Criteria:

  • Tuition will cover up to 12 credit hours.
  • To be used for Fall 2016 or Spring 2017 semester only.
  • There is no cash value and no refunds will be issued for any unused portion of the award.
  • Student must be registered and paid out-of-pocket or have financial aid secured by June 1, 2016.
  • Student must only take classes at LSC-North Harris, LSC-Greenspoint Center and LSC-Victory Center.

Current and recently enrolled students can also register for fall classes online at LoneStar.edu/registration or at any Lone Star College location beginning April 13. For those interested in attending LSC-North Harris, the college boasts more than 110 degree and certificate programs. Credit classes range from art, biology, and automotive technology to nursing and criminal justice. Classes are offered days, evenings, or weekends at LSC-North Harris, LSC-Greenspoint Center and LSC-Victory Center, as well as in online and hybrid formats.

LSC-North Harris is also home to the CHI LSC-North Harris School of Cosmetology. The school capitalizes on the world-renowned products and methods of Farouk Systems, along with LSC-North Harris’ faculty expertise in education and training. Additionally, the college’s Health Professions Building is home to many of the college’s medical programs including nursing, pharmacy technology and medical administrative services.
