“The Society of Iranian American Women for Education” is offering Iranian-American women who attend LSC-Kingwood a $1000 scholarship for the 2011-2012 school year.

Requirements:

• Be of Iranian decent
• Must be a resident in legal F-1 status or a Citizen of the U.S.
• Currently attending LSC-Kingwood
• Must have a current GPA of at least a 2.5
• Demonstrate financial need by completing a FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid) online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov
• Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours for the fall and spring semester
• Submit an essay of about 300 words to the financial aid office on how this scholarship will personally and financially benefit you
• Complete a LSC-Kingwood Scholarship Application, found online at http://lonestar.edu/scholarships-kingwood.htm
