The Bosque Gallery is now accepting solo and group exhibition proposals for dates between September 2024 and July 2025.

The deadline for proposals is March 10, 2024.

Mission

The Bosque Gallery at Lone Star College-CyFair is a teaching gallery whose primary mission is to provide exhibitions which support and enrich college curriculum, events and programs. The Bosque Gallery provides exhibition opportunities for professional artists, visual arts faculty, and our visual arts students.

It is not our goal to act as a retail outlet or commercial gallery, though exhibited work may be made available for purchase. 100% of the sales will go towards the artists. The Bosque Gallery is not available as a rental venue to private individuals or organizations.

Review Criteria

Bosque Gallery will consider proposals by local, regional, national, and international (emerging and established) artists/curators in all media that include the following:

• Articulation of a clear central idea
• Strong artistic quality
• Artworks and projects that address issues relevant to our student body and the local community
• Opportunities for ancillary programming such as student workshops, lectures, and studio critique.
• Availability of curator and artist(s) to play an integral role in execution of exhibition and events

Proposal Guidelines

• Images of 10- 15 works (jpg, png or pdf; 2MB max each)
• If submitting a video, please provide a film still, and add a video link (YouTube or Vimeo) in your submission list.
• A list of all submissions; include title, year, size, medium, video link (if applicable) and file name for each work.
• Proposal (Up to 500 words). Please include a title and a description of the proposed exhibition. Include any special requirements.
• Artist Bio/ CV (Up to 500 words).
