LSC-North Harris Electronics Technology Department

The Electronics Engineering Technology program offers two one-year certificates as well as two two-year associate of applied science degrees.

The Basic Electronics and Industrial Electrical Technology certificate programs provide the skills for entry-level employment in either basic, general, electronics, or electronic-based industrial control systems.

The associate of applied science degree programs prepare the student for a career in electronics, and provide the foundation for university study - should the student wish to further his or her education in engineering technology or industrial technology.

The Computer Engineering Technology degree prepares the student for employment within the computer systems assembly or service industries.

The Industrial Controls Technology degree prepares the student for employment within a production industry (food processing and packaging, chemical plants and refineries, manufacturing) that utilize automated control systems.

The electronics technology department provides classroom studies with hands-on high-tech laboratories.

Electronics technology prepares students for entry-level positions in industry, which include: Service Shop Technician, Industrial Manufacturing Technician, Laboratory Technician, Field Service Technician, Technical Sales, and more.
