FAQs

Property Services maintains lighting levels based on established building standards. If the light simply needs to be dimmed, we may be able to assist through a TMA request.

However, requests to turn off lights over a cubicle or remove a lightbulb from a workspace fixture due to a documented medical need should be directed to LSC-EmployeeAccommodations@LoneStar.edu. Once an accommodation has been formally approved, we can assist with implementing the approved lighting adjustment.

Lone Star College has a list of Board-approved furniture vendors. The vendors have been reviewed by our Procurement Department and confirmed to provide quality, long-lasting, high-functioning furniture for higher education settings.

Please submit a TMA request to initiate furniture removal or repair.

If the furniture is no longer needed, Property Services will coordinate its removal and ensure it is properly accounted for. If the furniture is broken, our team will also determine whether it is still covered under the manufacturer's warranty, which may allow for repair or replacement.

Yes. During the design process, the electrical, data, and ADA requirements will be incorporated.

Many of our furniture vendors can provide a design that lays out the furniture to be purchased in our spaces and confirms all requirements are met.
