Who We Are

The Project Development & Planning (PDP) Team helps turn campus space needs into completed projects. Led by Director Khalilah Moore-Breaux, our project managers support and coordinate Property Services-related projects such as new buildings, remodeling, and renovations. Large-scale projects are shaped by strategic long-term planning and move forward through Board of Trustees funding approval. For smaller construction or renovation requests and space planning support, PDP is the best place to start. We'll help you understand the process, identify next steps, and connect your request to the right path forward.

Our Projects Across the System

Our PDP team supports systemwide campus work through three project types: Architectural & Engineering Construction, Repair & Replace, and Modernization. Together, these project categories help us plan improvements, maintain critical infrastructure, and update spaces to meet evolving campus needs.

Architectural Engineering (A&E) and Construction

Architectural & Engineering (A&E) Construction projects are planned, design-driven improvements that typically require licensed architects and engineers before construction can begin. This category covers work such as new buildings, major renovations and space reconfigurations that need drawings, specifications, and formal coordination.

Replace and Repair (R&R)

Repair & Replace projects focus on fixing or replacing existing building components and essential equipment to keep our facilities safe, reliable, and ready for daily use. This work typically addresses items that are worn, broken, outdated, or no longer performing as intended.

Modernization

Modernization projects focus on updating and improving existing spaces so they better support today's learning, teaching, and work needs. Rather than building new, modernization refreshes what we already have�enhancing functionality, the overall experience, and integrating Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) solutions that support evolving campus needs.
