Lone Star College-Montgomery Hosts Star Party and Sky Viewing

Lone Star College-Montgomery will host a “Star Party” on Wednesday, November 18, at 6:30 p.m., in Building A, Room 102. Dr. Aaron Clevenson, astronomy professor at LSC-Montgomery, will present “What’s the Big Deal About Galileo?”
 
After Dr. Clevenson’s presentation, attendees will head outside to the campus’ athletic fields behind Building A for a special viewing of nighttime sky. The viewing will feature four stations: planets, spectroscopy, constellations, and deep space objects/asterisms.
 
Students, staff, and faculty, as well as community members are invited to attend this free, family-friendly event. Door prizes will be given out. No astronomy experience is required.
