LSC-Montgomery Tai Chi Students Take Part in Worldwide Event

Recently, Pam Baylis and Jim Shoelen, members of Lone Star College-Montgomery’s continuing education Tai Chi course, took part in the 11th annual World Tai Chi and Qigong Day, held in Town Green Park in The Woodlands. Baylis and Shoelen were just two of the 40 local attendees taking part in this worldwide event.
 
Course instructor David Neighbors said Tai Chi has tremendous medical benefits and has been proven as the most effective balance and coordination conditioner in the world.
 
LSC-Montgomery will offer Tai Chi this summer, beginning Wednesday, June 2. The class will meet on Wednesday nights from 6:15-7:45 p.m. For more information or to register, please contact LSC-Montgomery’s continuing education office at (936) 273-7446.
