Performance Troupe's “Rocky Horror Picture Show” Oct. 31 Benefits Theatre Students and Community

The Rocky Horror Picture ShowCelebrate Halloween night with the Lone Star College-CyFair Performance Troupe and their scholarship fund-raising performance of the cult classic “Rocky Horror Picture Show.”

Characters and costumes are encouraged for this performance, recommended for adult audiences only, which will be held at 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31 in the Main Stage Theatre in the Center for the Arts building at 9191 Barker Cypress.

In addition to performing Richard O'Brien’s interactive, movie experience that is sure to send the audience into a “Time Warp,” the Performance Troupe is giving back to students and those in need in the community.

“Scholarships are important to us because we have the opportunity to make someone else’s dream come true,” said Stephanie Bailey, coordinator. “We also decided to give canned goods to The Mission of Yahweh, to help women and children in need of food.”

Tickets, available online or with cash only, are $7 or $5 with a canned good for The Mission of Yahweh. All ticket proceeds go toward theatre scholarships earmarked for students seeking a theatre degree.

For tickets and information go to LoneStar.edu/boxoffice or call 281.290.5201.
