Lone Star College offers assistance to Regency Beauty Institute students

Lone Star College will provide assistance to local students impacted by Regency Beauty Institute closing all of its campuses nationwide, including its Cypresswood, Pasadena, and Southwest Houston locations.

“Lone Star College is ready to help these students understand what their options are to completing their studies,” said Amos McDonald, LSC vice chancellor, External Affairs. “We encourage them to take advantage of the resources Lone Star College has to offer.”

CHI Lone Star College-North Harris School of Cosmetology will hold an open house Nov. 7, from 5 – 7 p.m. for students to speak with advisors regarding cosmetology courses, transferability, financial aid and other options. The LSC-Kingwood Cosmetology Program prepares the student for the State Licensing Exam. Upon successful completion of the 1,500-hour certificate program, the graduate will be eligible to sit for the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) licensing exam and to apply for a Cosmetology Operator License.
