Lone Star College employee tests positive for coronavirus

A Lone Star College employee has tested positive for COVID-19. The employee became symptomatic on March 22 and was tested the same day with test results coming back positive on March 26.

The employee was on the LSC-CyFair campus March 18. During this time access to campus was limited to select employees only. No students were on campus.

All LSC campuses, including LSC-CyFair, have undergone sanitization beginning March 23.

All students have been on spring break, and offices were closed, March 9-15. All LSC facilities will open April 6 for employees only.  All facilities will remain closed to students until April 13. Sanitization efforts are ongoing and will be completed prior to April 6.

Lone Star College will provide updates on this and other health matters as appropriate. LSC is committed to transparency and providing assistance at this time of need. We are working with our community partners, employees and students to assure the safety and health of all those within the LSC community.
