L.I.F.E. Continues with Virtual Workshops in May

L.I.F.E. WorkshopsCYPRESS, Texas (April 20, 2020)  From learning life-saving observance skills to Scottish slang, weekly Wednesday workshops at Lone Star College-CyFair still provide L.I.F.E. lessons.

These free Learning, Inspiration, Friendship and Enrichment (L.I.F.E.) programs are now available through virtual presentations and each accessible for one week.

  • May 6: The Art of Observation
    Based on the work of art historian and attorney, Amy Herman, Visual IntelligenceSharpen Your Perception, Change Your Life, LSC-CyFair librarian, Claire Gunnels, hosts this workshop to hone your observational skills. This could save your life!
  • May 13: The Bible and the Civil War
    Historian Craig Livingston in military attire with fife in hand, discusses the role the Bible played in the War Between the States.
  • May 20: The Indian Sari
    It’s Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month celebrating their culture, traditions, and history. Learn about the Indian sari from Usha Dontharaju and see how it is folded.
  • May 27: Travel Series: Scotland
    Librarian Bronwyn Sutherland used to live in Scotland and she will share her experiences including some far out Scottish slang.
