The Kids Corner has a full calendar of engaging and educational story telling and online programs.

Don’t miss the live-stream programs with Magician John O’Bryant, the Mad Science of Houston experiments and the LSC-CyFair EDUC student-led virtual STEM Service Learning projects Mondays in June.

Among other online activities are:

The Summer Reading Program offers a book club and cookbook activity for adults.

First join Blue Willow Book Shop owner, Valerie Koehler, for her top reads at the June 3 e Learning, Inspiration, Friendship and Enrichment L.I.F.E. program.

Next consider being part of the “The Cooped-Up Cook Book: Food, Love in the Time of Quarantine” cookbook. Send a favorite recipe and a note on how it comforts or brings joy. Submit the recipes and a picture of the creation to choffart@LoneStar.edu by July 1 to be entered in the cookbook.

Then attend the July 29 L.I.F.E. program to learn about how they cooked during hard times in the victory gardens in WWII and ways to find joy through cooking today.

For information on other L.I.F.E. programs or library services, hours, programs and more at LSC-CyFair, go to LoneStar.edu/library/cyfair.
