L.I.F.E.'s Adventures Continue with Books, Travel and History

L.I.F.E. WorkshopsBid farewell to L.I.F.E. coordinator Claire Gunnel’s last month with adventures in books, Texas parks and a look at JFK’s last day at the weekly Lone Star College-CyFair workshops.

These free Learning, Inspiration, Friendship and Enrichment (L.I.F.E.) programs are available Wednesdays through virtual presentations and accessible for one week.

    Librarian Dorrie Scott gives us simple ways to access both library books and free ebooks available to all. Got your library card handy?
  • August 12: Travel Series - Texas State Parks
    Take time to enjoy the natural beauty of our 95 state parks. Adventurer and librarian, Tracy Williams, shares the history and her personal experiences of Texas State Parks.
  • August 19: Two Cheers for the Warren Commission - The Truth about the JFK Assassination
    Kingwood historian, Steve Davis, discusses the events of that day in Dallas and gives a detailed case for who (or what) he believes did it and why.
  • August 26: What Does Library L.I.F.E. Mean to You?
    Come celebrate and say farewell to Claire Gunnels, who is retiring Aug. 31. L.I.F.E. Workshops have brought lifelong learning and joy to so many in our community.
