L.I.F.E. Covers RPGs, the Musical World, Print History, and How to Find the Perfect Home

LIFE WorkshopsCYPRESS, Texas (July 28, 2021) Summer topics for Lone Star College-CyFair’s L.I.F.E. programs held this August include role-playing games, music, The Printing Museum tour and home buying tips. 

These free Learning, Inspiration, Friendship and Enrichment (L.I.F.E.) programs are available Wednesdays at noon through virtual presentations once a week live, with past programs accessible on the youtube playlist.? 

Aug. 4: Dungeons and Dragon - RPGs with Brad
Join Librarian Brad Dobos for the lowdown on RPGs, aka role-playing games, like the classic Dungeons and Dragons, the story-based Fate Core, and the anime-based Big Eyes Small Mouth. Who plays role-playing games? Everyone from children, to adults, to celebrities! Now, so can you. 

Aug. 11: 3 Secrets to Unleashing Your Inner Musician
This crash course with Ashley Orlando, jazz vocalist and ukulele artist, will help non-musicians and hobbyists deepen their appreciation for, and general understanding of, the musical world and how they interact with it on a regular basis. 

Aug 18: Tour of the Printing Museum
Take a tour of Houston's one and only Printing Museum that champions the history and power of print. Adrianne O'Donnell will lead a virtual tour of the museum which houses one of the earliest printed documents, a working replica Gutenberg printing press and more. In addition, there are working artist studios for Artists-in-Residence and public workshops held in papermaking, bookbinding, letterpress and fine art printing!
