With the summer break quickly ending, now is the perfect time to take the next step toward earning a college education.

Lone Star College-Kingwood, LSC-Atascocita Center, and LSC-Process Technology Center offer a variety of workforce programs, credit, and continuing education (high-demand, fast track) classes. These pathways can lead to an associate degree, transfer hours to a four-year university, or a new career, and are available in various formats, face-to-face, online, and hybrid.

"Our general core classes, program-specific courses, CE tracks, and other educational opportunities can be tailor-made for each student's needs," said Dr. Melissa Gonzalez, LSC-Kingwood president. "The offerings are available from an eight-week to a 16-week semester, thus creating flexible options to help students achieve their academic goals."

The fall 2022 semester begins on Aug. 29, but it is not too late to enroll. LSC-Kingwood will host its Super Saturday registration event on Aug. 20 and Aug. 27 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Student Conference Center. This one-stop-shop event will assist students with free loaner devices, advising, placement testing, financial aid, and new student orientation.

"We have so many resources, such as scholarships, student clubs, services, programming, etc., that will set students up for success here, at a four-year university, or in the workforce," Gonzalez said. "We encourage you to visit our campus and start the path to a promising future."

Additionally, students who enroll in at least six credit hours or one Continuing Education (CE) class are eligible to borrow a laptop or a loaded iPad bundle (keyboard, case, and pen) through the LSC TechConnect program.
