Lone Star College Foundation is hosting its 32nd annual Golf Tournament on Monday, Nov. 17, at The Woodlands Country Club. Last year’s event drew nearly 230 golfers and raised more than $175,000 for student scholarships and programs across Lone Star College System.

“The Golf Tournament has become not only a great source of support for Lone Star College System students, but also a long-held tradition with many of our sponsors returning year after year,” said Nicole Robinson Gauthier, CFRE, LSC Foundation executive director.

Following a day of friendly competition at the Palmer Course and Tournament Course, the event will conclude with an awards reception.

First Community Credit Union is this year’s presenting sponsor, with COO Jennifer Kilgore and CEO TJ Tijerina serving as golf chairs.

"At First Community, we recognize that education is the key to unlocking opportunity and driving long-term community success. That's why we proudly support Lone Star College System and its students,” said Kilgore and Tijerina. “Investing in education today means empowering the leaders, innovators and changemakers of tomorrow. Our sponsorship of this tournament reflects our deep commitment to educational advancement."

Those who aren’t ready to commit to the full tournament but are interested in brushing up on their golf skills can sign up for a two-hour clinic with a pro at The Woodlands Country Club. At $250 per person, lunch is included in this experience.

Sponsorship and underwriting opportunities ranging from $2,000-$5,500 are still available and present opportunities for networking and recognition for generously supporting LSCS.
