BIOGRAPHY

Gary Liebst holds a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from East Texas State University and a Masters Degree in Performance from East Carolina University. In 1998, Mr. Liebst became the conductor of the Kingwood Pops Orchestra. Mr. Liebst currently serves as the Dean of Visual, Applied and Performing Arts at Lone Star College - North Harris where he spent thirteen years as the Director of Bands. In his previous position as Director of Bands, the instrumental program at Lone Star Collge - North Harris grew to six performing ensembles. In his position as dean, he helps to continue the success and growth of all the fine arts areas at the school. Liebst can now enjoy being both an administrator and conductor as the Pops contiunes to enjoy it's affiliation with Lone Star College - Kingwood.
