Post-Admission Requirements

After being accepted into the program, students will need to order package code LD47im from CastleBranch  to upload immunization records and other program related forms.  CastleBranch manages compliance tracking for Lone Star College as well as ordering background checks when required (CastleBranch package code LD47bgdt).

  • Background Check (as required by some clinical affiliates)
  • Drug Screening (as required by some clinical affiliates)
  • Malpractice/Liability Insurance (paid when student registers for clinical I & clinical II)
  • Health Insurance (not required by all clinical affiliates)
  • Documentation of Current Immunizations
    • MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) - documentation of 2 vaccines OR positive titer
    • Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) - booster administered within last 10 years
    • Hepatitis B - documentation of 3 vaccines OR positive titer
    • Varicella - documentation of 2 vaccines OR positive titer
    • TB (PPD) Skin Test

If you do not have immunization records, you will need to have titers drawn.  Titers are blood tests that check your immune status to vaccinations.  If your titer results are positive, you have adequate immunity to a particular infectious disease and do not need to get that particular vaccine.
