How can I get more information about the bachelor's programs offered?
Any Lone Star College advisor can assist you with your questions and how to get started.
How is financial aid being handled? After 90 credit hours completed?
Lone Star College will begin the process of applying for financial aid eligibility for the bachelor degree programs now that we have SACSCOC approval. We cannot confirm that financial aid will be available for the Fall 2020 start, but will keep students updated on the process. Once LSC is approved for financial aid for these 3 programs, students will be eligible for Financial Aid under the rules for any bachelor's degree. The 150% rule which caps at 90 SCH for an associate degree becomes 180 SCH when a student is pursuing a bachelor's degree.
When does this program begin and at which campuses?
The program will be starting its first cohort of students at the LSC-CyFair Westway Park Technology Center in Fall 2020.
In what format will the classes be taught (ONLINE, etc.)
All programs will be taught in 8-week terms so students can take only 2 classes at a time and finish their bachelor’s in 2 years. Primary delivery for courses will be hybrid, combining face to face class time, often in the evenings, with online work to accommodate the working student.
