The Medical Administrative Services program prepares students to succeed as an administrative medical assistant in a variety of health care settings including private medical practices, hospitals, clinics, public health departments, government agencies or insurance firms. These positions require medical knowledge, organizational and business skills.
Medical Administrative Services graduates often have the following duties: greets and receives patients and visitors, registers new patients, updates existing records, document filing/processing, medical billing and coding, maintains reception room, business office, inventory and orders supplies.
