Career Pathway Overview

Professional Development Mission

Lone Star College System (LSCS) is committed to cultivating a culture of continuous learning that strengthens institutional effectiveness, advances strategic priorities, and enhances employee performance.

Professional development activities should be relevant to the employee’s role and aligned with departmental and institutional priorities. Supervisors work with employees to identify appropriate opportunities.

Professional Development (PD, ProDev) refers to structured learning activities that help employees strengthen the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform their roles effectively and grow professionally within Lone Star College System.

Pathways

The Career Pathways provide a clear framework to help you build the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) needed to succeed directly in your role. The Career Pathways connect your professional development with meaningful learning experiences that support both your career goals and the College's strategic priorities.
