Certification Program

 

Multimedia Services will be offering a nine-session certification in media content creation starting the fall 2023 semester, through the academic year and ending May 2024. The course title is Instructional Media Content Development. In these sessions attendees will learn various basic and intermediate techniques that will help when thinking about future projects. The session will be open to all faculty, staff, and administrators.

Dates: Monthly on Fridays (Session Dates)
Time: 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Location: E-254 Multimedia Services Department
The areas that will cover in the program: 

  • Types of video cameras to use (basic filming)
  • Camera Settings and Options for basic filming
  • Handheld vs. using a tripod
  • Memory disks: which to use, size, understanding speed difference
  • Basic filming techniques
  • Mode differences
  • Basic lighting: with and without special video lights
  • Microphones: Internal vs. External
  • Proper way to use an external microphone
  • How do I export my video?
  • Publish the Video: What are the options?
