Session 2: Getting Started with Audio Basics and Voice-Over Recording

Creating a Voice-Over Narration for PowerPoint and Video Presentations

Find the best way to record a lecture or presentation without a camera. Get familiar with computer screen recording software, audio editing programs, and take a deeper look at professional audio recording microphones and devices.


Session 3: Basic Filming

Creating Your First Welcome Video

This hands-on session will allow you to find a crew within your peers to use your knowledge of past sessions to create a Welcome video to introduce who you are.


Session 4: File Types, Formats, and Workflow

For Audio and Video Editing

Learn how to identify, transfer, and properly label video and audio files, as well as how to organize your project folder for a more efficient editing workflow.


Session 5: Basic Video Editing

Editing Your First Welcome Video

Review the functions of video editing programs and how to build out an engaging video by adding transitions, text, music, sounds and graphics to your Welcome video.
 


Session 6: Tell Your Story!

Scripting and Storyboarding Techniques

Understand the difference between the stages of a video production and how to build a strong script and storyboard that will help prepare you before hitting the record button.


Session 7: Publishing Your Video

Deployment for Recorded or Livestream

Understand how and where to publish your final video to be seen by your audience.


Session 8: Podcast Planning

Plan, Manage, and Succeed!

A deeper look into audio production as participants learn to produce a podcast series and how to operate the sound booth available in the IMAC Studio.

In this session, we will be viewing the final versions of the class’s Welcome Video and participants will receive a Certificate of Completion for Instructional Media Content Development.
